McKayla Rosser was born and raised in Sacramento, CA with a floral designer mother and a father passionate about moviemaking. This upbringing made her fascinated with nature, film, and the building blocks of a good story.

McKayla has written for Tarrant County Community College’s The Collegian (named University and College Newspaper of the Year by the Texas Associated Press Managing Editors) and has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University.

Today, she resides in Milwaukee, WI. She enjoys hiking, reading, writing, composing music, spending time with her partner, and watching way too much reality television.

“To some extent, I happily don’t know what I’m doing.
I feel that it’s an artist’s responsibility to trust that.”
